Entry tax for AP vehicles entering Telangana

Both AP and Telangana Governments earlier decided that no entry tax will be charged on the vehicles plying between the two states after the bifurcation up to April 31st this year. With the date nearby, the Telangana Government has decided to levy tax from April 1 for higher chances of gaining net crores of rupees as revenue.

Even amidst requests from the AP government for continuance of the existing system untill Hyderabad remains the joint capital, the TRS Government has given its go ahead with the entry tax which has been communicated to the AP Government.

This move will hike the bus fares from Vijayawada to Hyderabad along with the transport of goods, products from AP.
