Hyderabad high court’s division bench on Tuesday expressing displeasure at the petitioner for filing a PIL without the required arguments, dismissed a petition that alleged Telangana government’s decision to shift the existing state secretariat to Erragadda due to 'Vaastu defect'.

Comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice Sanjay Kumar, the bench even imposed a penalty of Rs 1,000 for filing the petition on frivolous grounds on the petitioner Mohammed Haji, who is an Aam Aadmi Party leader of the city.

The bench after pursuing the records submitted by the Telangana advocate general, noticed that the decision was taken after due deliberations, in consultation with the officers concerned and there was no mention of 'Vaastu'.

Also, the bench stated that the court has no intention of interfering in an administrative affair of the state and asked the petitioner to show the basis for filing the PIL.
