He said the hand of Maoists also could not be ruled out and the police are searching for the weapons. The shootout occurred at 11 PM. The injured constable and CI have been moved to KIMS hospital where one bullet from the shoulder of the constable has been removed. The two bullets in the CI body will be operated by evening, say KIMS doctors.
The DGP said special teams have been formed to hunt for the killers and borders on Khammam belt have been sealed. DGP also called the families of dead policemen and announced Rs. Two lakh ex-gratia.
