Hyderabad: Telangana CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy on Saturday criticized the State Government for its failure to provide the policemen with latest weapons to tackle incidents and nab culprits. In a press note here, Venkat Reddy appreciated the policemen for showing bravery to tackle the Suryapet firing incident assailants. He hoped speedy recovery of the policemen undergoing treatment at Kamineni Hospital.

However, the CPI leader was equally cautious that the government could not provide modern weapons to the police personnel to control law and order. He said that people are aghast at growing day- time incidents and attacks and there is a need for tight vigil to prevent such incidents. The policemen patrolling during night hours should be provided with modern equipment and weapons, he said. The CPI leader expressed condolences to the deceased policemen’s families.
