I am active and pursuing development activities
TS government’s special representative Venugopala Chary asserted that he was very much active as the representative of KCR government and pursuing the development activities and financial grants with the Central government’s ministries and departments. He reacted to the allegations that he had become absent from his role in the TS Bhavan in New Delhi and had been staying in Hyderabad only.
Chary said because of his experience as the former Union Minister, he has contacts and abilities to pursue pending projects and speeding up grants and budget allocations to the State, denying rumours that he is inactive, he says he need not be present all the time in TS Bhavan

New Delhi: TS government’s special representative Venugopala Chary asserted that he was very much active as the representative of KCR government and pursuing the development activities and financial grants with the Central government’s ministries and departments. He reacted to the allegations that he had become absent from his role in the TS Bhavan in New Delhi and had been staying in Hyderabad only.
Chary said because of his experience as the former Union minister, he has contacts and abilities to pursue the pending projects and speeding up grants and budget allocations that are pending to the State even though he may not be present all the time in TS Bhavan which is housed in the premises of AP Bhavan on Ashoka Road.
However, he agreed that the TS Bhavan needs a fulltime Resident Commissioner for effective administration and also to monitor the upkeep of the Bhavan. But the post is currently held by Ajay Mishra who mostly operates from Hyderabad, who is also the Principal Secretary, he added.
When brought to his notice about the leaks from the ceilings and dismal state of rooms for the guests in spite of spending about Rs 5 crore in the last financial year which was shared by the both the Telugu states on 52:48 ratio, Chary said that the State government will focus on the TS Bhavan once the key projects such as Water Grid, power generation and Mission Kakatiya takes off. The government is not finding an IAS officer from the State who could work in the TS Bhavan as the Resident Commissioner and also an official to look after I & PR activity.
