KCR keen to boost tourism in State.Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday held a review meeting on tourism development and promotion with a focus on safety and security.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday held a review meeting on tourism development and promotion with a focus on safety and security. The meeting held at his camp office was attended by Ministers N Narsimha Reddy, KT Rama Rao, T Srinivas Yadav, Mahender Reddy and Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation new Chairman Pervaram Ramulu.The Chief Minister is said to have focused on promotion of tourism in the State including Hyderabad which has to be developed as a global city.

Sources said the meeting emphasised on giving top priority to peace and harmony besides ensuring law and order and complete protection to the people, mainly the tourists coming from abroad and other States. Unless peaceful atmosphere is maintained, the tourists will not dare to come to Hyderabad and may be apprehensive of terror strikes, the Chief Minister said, according to sources.

The State government is according top priority for tourism development and promotion for which the corporation has to come up with some proposals. It may be noted that the Chief Minister is evincing keen interest in developing the city as a global one to attract foreign tourists through development of infrastructure, better roads and facilities.
