He said there were 17 escorts police men with gun in the van when the encounter took place. "When Vicaruddin tried to snatch the guns and flee from the van, the police tried to stop them. The Vicaruddin gang ignored the command to drop weapons and surrender, instead shot at policemen," Navinchand said.

In the shoot out that lasted an hour, the police men shot down the ISI activists who were being escorted from Warangal jail to Hyderabad for sake of court appearance.
Meanwhile, Vicaruddin's father charged the police with cold blooded murder of his son."I had petitioned to move him from Warangal jail to Hyderabad and will now file a petition against the fake encounter in the court," he said.
