42,000 AP students to take TS EAMCET

As many as 2,26,484 candidates have registered for the Telangana State-Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS-EAMCET). The first EAMCET to be conducted in Telangana State interestingly has over 42,000 students from Andhra Pradesh. Of this about 27,000 have applied for medical stream. This shows that the demand for colleges in Telangana has not gone down, said an official.

This shows that the demand for colleges in Telangana has not gone down, said an official. According to the data available with JNTU-Hyderabad, which is conducting the test, about 1.3 lakh candidates have opted for engineering, about 90,000 for agriculture and medical and 1,250 for both the subjects.
