Hyderabad: The High Court at Hyderabad here on Thursday directed the Telangana State government to submit details of Viquaruddin encounter case and postponed the case to next week. It may be recalled that Viqaruddin and his four associates were killed in an encounter in a police van on the Warangal-Nalgonda border on April 7. After a few days, Viquaruddin’s father filed a complaint in Alair Police Station alleging that it was a fake encounter case.

Buckling under criticism from various Muslim organisations and MIM party, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao ordered a SIT probe into the case. However, Viquaruddin’s father moved the High Court on Wednesday demanding that the Court order a CBI probe into the case. Viquaruddin’s father’s counsel urged the Court to order re-post mortem of the bodies of five suspected terrorists as there were fifteen bullets in each body. The State government will file a counter affidavit on April 23.
