Govt releases 500 cr for Pushkaralu
The State government, which is prestigiously taking up the Godavari Pushkaralu, has released Rs 500 crore for arrangements and building of 104 Pushkar Ghats in Telangana, said State Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy here on Thursday. The Minister visited the Pushkar Ghats along the river in Nizamabad district and inaugurated the new Ghats at Pochampad, Gummiryal and Savel villages.
Nizamabad: The State government, which is prestigiously taking up the Godavari Pushkaralu, has released Rs 500 crore for arrangements and building of 104 Pushkar Ghats in Telangana, said State Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy here on Thursday. The Minister visited the Pushkar Ghats along the river in Nizamabad district and inaugurated the new Ghats at Pochampad, Gummiryal and Savel villages.
He said previously there were only 27 Ghats, but now the government was constructing 104 new Ghats. He informed the government allotted Rs 100 crore for Irrigation, Rs 182 crore for Roads and Buildings, Rs 60 crore for Public Relations, Rs 20 crore for Endowment and Rs 14 crore for drinking water facilities. He said this year the government was expecting nearly eight core pilgrims .
