A fresh autopsy plea filed by the father of a terror suspect who was one of the four others killed in an alleged encounter in Nalgonda district, Telangana on April 7 was rejected by the Hyderabad High Court.

The counter affidavit filed by Superintendent of Police, Nalgonda was ruled out by the Justice Vilas Afzalpurkar, who went through the case record and found nothing wrong in the way the first autopsy was conducted on Viquar Ahmed and rejected a second postmortem.

Examining over the facts that police followed the inquiry procedure ordered by the concerned judicial authorities, Justice Vilas Afzalpurkar said that the petitioner, Mohammed Ahmed did not question the first postmortem nor bring up the second postmortem issue when police handed over Viquar's body to him.

A special investigation team (SIT), set up by the government, is authorized to investigate the encounter and may request the magistrate for the second autopsy as per their investigation. Five under trial prisoners, including Viquar Ahmed, were killed while they were being brought to a court from a prison in Warangal.
