Siddipet (Medak): Wall-posters in the name of Telangana State CPI (Maoist) official representative Jagan appeared in front of the Revenue Divisional Office on Thursday, listed out ten demands before the Telangana government. They included free supply of sand in the ongoing Mission Kakatiya works, payment of pension to beedi workers as well as to cover non-pensioners and also people who have resigned.

The other demands included payment of Rs.20 lakh to family of each farmers who committed suicide and remunerative prices, waiver of farmers’ old loans and release of fresh loans, completion of SC land distribution in Telangana districts and extending it to STs, BCs and minorities. The posters also warned action against real estate brokers for becoming henchmen of businessmen who have purchased lands at low rates from farmers and sold the same to big businessmen at high profits.

They cautioned against continuing the system of police informers in several Telangana districts and warned of action, if there is no change. The posters stated that the subsidies for SCs, STs, BCs and minorities were being given to relatives of politicians and officials, although they are meant for the poor. They mentioned about the nexus between educational institutions-businessmen- and politicians- who have joined hands to loot money from people in the name of education.

According to the posters, action would be taken against the real estate traders of Peddamastanpalli, Khammampalli, Marpadga and Sirisinagandla villages and the persons connected with ‘poisonous’ factories and those who cooperated in the sale of horticulture gardens to the factories after purchasing them from poor farmers of the villages in Toguta mandal.
