RTC Strike turns critical as RTC employee attempts suicide

With the ongoing RTC strike continuing on its third day with majority of buses getting confined to depots, a RTC worker identified as Chandrappa who works at the Zaheerabad Depot on Friday attempted suicide through self immolation. Police personnel and other RTC workers intervened on time and saved his life.

By means of tight police security, around 70 buses were operated from seven depots across the district even amidst the protests.

District Congress Committee President V. Sunitha Laksmha Reddy has come forward to extend her support amidst the agitation of protestors and police to the ongoing strike by RTC employees.
