Hyderabad: The Commercial Taxes Department on Thursday asked the school managements to adhere to the norms of payment of commercial tax through sale of uniforms, shoes and stationery items. The Commercial Taxes Commissioner on Thursday held a special awareness meeting with various school managements in the twin cities.

They were told that not all the sales done through the convenience stalls opened at the school premises were getting reported with proper tax compliance under the provisions of the Act. A proforma also circulated requesting the school managements to furnish the details before September of each year without fail.

“The complete cooperation from the school managements is solicited as this revenue is vital for the making of ‘Bangaru Telangana’. For any further information, they may approach the concerned Commercial Tax Circle officials/Dy Commercial Tax Officers,” the Commissioner said here.
