Heat wave conditions prevailed in Telangana on Wednesday as Nizamabad sizzled at 46.1 degrees Celsius while Hyderabad saw the season\'s hottest day at 44 degrees. The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued a heat wave warning for the next three days in both Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad: Heat wave conditions prevailed in Telangana on Wednesday as Nizamabad sizzled at 46.1 degrees Celsius while Hyderabad saw the season's hottest day at 44 degrees. The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued a heat wave warning for the next three days in both Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.


Most parts of Telangana recorded day temperature three to six degrees above average. Ramagundem and Nalgonda saw blistering heat with temperature rising to 45 degrees Celsius while Adilabad sizzled at 44.Normal life was also affected in towns like Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal, where the mercury rose to 43 degrees.


The situation was no different in Medak and Nalgonda.Hyderabad Meteorological Centre director in charge Y K Reddy said the heat wave conditions would continue for next three days. The rise in day temperature is attributed to the dry north western and northern winds.
