Modi has no knowledge of history: Jaipal
Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that Modi suffered from ignorance of history and arrogance.Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on completion of one year of NDA rule, Jaipal Reddy said Modi did not know anything about history and geography.
Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that Modi suffered from ignorance of history and arrogance.Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on completion of one year of NDA rule, Jaipal Reddy said Modi did not know anything about history and geography.
“Modi said that Taxila is in Bihar. If he has any knowledge of history and geography, how can he say this?" he asked.Jaipal Reddy found fault with the way Modi was touring around the world, while ignoring the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. “Modi made Sushma a dummy and the party stalwart Advani a Mummy,” he said.
While referring to the words of Chief Economic Advisor to NDA government Arvind Subrahmanian, he said that rate of poverty reduction under UPA regime was fastest in the economic history of India. Hence, the NDA did not have the right to criticise the 10-year Congress rule. Moreover, he pointed out that same official had revealed that no project took off after Modi became the Prime Minister.
