How Telangana Formation Day can be celebrated

कालाय तस्मै नमः is how our Shrutis extoll the Supreme Being. Our political parties are major robbers of personal time of Indians since several decades. The tools that they use to deprive people to lead a normal life with normal durations for reaching home, office, hospital, temple, buy essentials, drop someone, help someone, etc., are the meetings being held in the heart of the city.

Yesterday many daily commuters' time was robbed - thanks to the TDP mahanadu. What right does any one have to misuse other's personal time? The political parties take this right in their hands and abuse it for their so called political gains. Every time the common man is subjected to delay due to political meetings he/she curses the politicians who planned and conducted this meeting.

In fact the political parties do gain a vey bad image every time they conduct their meetings. What prevents them from conducting such meetings on some open lands away from cities?

Every time they conduct a political meeting all the political parties receive innumerable curses from school going children to senior citizens. TRS Plenary and big public meeting held last month deprived many of their personal time. It is high time that the Supreme Court come out with a ban on causing any abuse of time of any citizen by political meetings that choke the city life. No political party should be allowed to conduct political rallies/dharnas or indulge in any act that disturbs normal life be it in a village or a metro city. I appeal to the Supreme Court to direct the Government to come out with a law prohibiting any act that disturbs normal life.

The citizens of Hyderabad are worried about the ensuing Telangana State Celebrations. In the name of celebrations the life of common man is badly hit. Our politicians must show maturity of respecting the common man and ensure that the normal life is not disturbed in any manner by their political programs. There are many creative ways in which Telangana can celebrate its first birthday like:

1. Lighting the lamps in all the temples and decorating them in the best possible manner
2. Conducting mass prayers for the welfare of the state and its people
3. Performing Yagas for Rains, Good harvests and the welfare of flora and fauna
4. Planting samplings 10 crores one each in a district and make specific communities, associations, bodies accountable for their nurturing.
5. Another round of cleaning in the name of Swachcha Telangana
6. Visiting all the orphanage and old age homes and ensure their welfare through concerted efforts and funds
7. Ensuring the protection of cows in the state and their welfare and performing puja for cows at all villages.
8. Conducting anna dhanam in all government schools, hospitals and other institutions for their inmates and the local people
9. Taking an oath that nothing shall be done to disturb the normal life, pollute the air, water and land

These are some of the ways in which Telangana must celebrate its first birth day and thereby become a model for other states and even the centre to emulate.
