TSRTC issues promotion orders
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) management has on Wednesday issued orders of promotion and transfers to 12 Senior Scale Officers and 71 Junior Scale Officers. The promotions were pending for a long time due to unresolved issues like fitment and bifurcation of the corporation.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) management has on Wednesday issued orders of promotion and transfers to 12 Senior Scale Officers and 71 Junior Scale Officers. The promotions were pending for a long time due to unresolved issues like fitment and bifurcation of the corporation.
However, with the issue of bifurcation getting a temporary breather in the form of administrative bifurcation, the Telangana division of the corporation could make a move on the matter. As many as 71 Assistant managers were promoted as Depot Managers, who form the upper rung of Junior Scale officers.
And 12 Depot managers were promoted to Senior Scale as Divisional Managers. Further, placement orders were given to the Telangana officers who got relieved from Seemandhra region and reported to the TSRTC management. With this, promotions and transfers in the Telangana RTC were complete, except for the Regional Manager (RM) level.
According to TSRTC sources, orders on promotions and transfers of RMs are likely to be issued in a couple of days. Even those who had formally asked for transfers to Hyderabad and nearer places could get transfers as per their request. The staff at Bus Bhavan headquarters will also be allocated to A-Block (AP) and B-block (Telangana) in the ratio of 58:42.
All the officials who got promotions and transfers were asked to report to duty by Thursday (June 11). Bus Bhavan headquarters have also complimented the Joint Managing Director (JMD) G V Ramana Rao for being able to set the perception right without any loss of time.
Before bifurcation, the issue of promotions got embroiled in controversies as the workers unions of Telangana started complaining that Telangana officers will get a raw deal if the promotions were taken up without completing the administrative bifurcation of the Road Transport Corporation.
