New Delhi: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari and TRS MP G Vinod Kumar here on Thursday said that they were fully confident that the Centre would not intervene on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government based on the ‘false allegations by its CM N Chandrababu Naidu.

Expressing full confidence in the Narendra Modi government's neutrality, they said there was no ground for the Centre to invoke Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act and confer greater powers on the Governor. They said an ACB case of corruption did not fall under Law & Order problem anywhere in the country and Naidu should know basics before demanding incorporation of the Section 8 provisions.

The Telangana government was neither interested in tapping Naidu's phones nor in AP affairs, they said and asked Naidu to answer one basic question with regard to his reported call to nominated MLA Stephenson: "Who called whom?"
