Warangal: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has demanded Telangana TDP working president Errabelli Dayakar Rao to ask Andhra Pradesh government to withdraw its letter against irrigation projects in the State. This, he said, with reference to the letter written by AP Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao to the centre raising objections over Dindi and Palamuru lift irrigation projects.
Dayakar Rao should clear whether he would support the letter written by AP government led by TDP “Dayakar Rao, who belongs to TDP, should question the AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu over the letter as it is against the interests of Telangana. He should ask the TDP government to withdraw the letter or quit the party and post”, Harish Rao said while speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Sunday.
‘The onus of withdrawing the letter by AP government is on Dayakar Rao if he wants water supply to people in Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar district. He should make his stand clear’, he stated. The TDP which ruled the united Andhra Pradesh neglected to execute the irrigation projects. Now the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao launched the Dindi lift irrigation project to provide drinking water to fluoride-affected Nalgonda district.
But sadly, the AP government has been opposing the projects, he said adding despite all the opposition by AP, the Telangana government would execute the projects on war-footing basis and none could stop them. Harish Rao also objected to the reported comments by Dayakar Rao who alleged that Mission Kakatiya has become a ‘Commission Kakatiya’ programme.
Entire nation, political parties and experts were praising Mission Kakatiya but the TDP and Congress leaders were resorting to mud-slinging against the state government. He suggested that the TDP and Congress leaders to abstain from making baseless allegation otherwise they would be alienated by the farming community and common public in the villages.
Harish Rao was here on Sunday to inaugurate a private hospital at Kakaji Colony in Hanamkonda. Senior doctors M Seshu Madhav, P Praveen Kumar, A Sridhar and Kothagattu Srinivas, TRS leaders T Ravinder Rao, P Sudharshan Reddy, N Narender and others were present.
