HC closes TS govt plea against Green Tribunal. A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Tuesday closed a writ petition filed by the Telangana government questioning an injunction against it by the Green Tribunal.

A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Tuesday closed a writ petition filed by the Telangana government questioning an injunction against it by the Green Tribunal. It may be recalled that Lubna of SOUL a city-based NGO had moved the Tribunal questioning the action of the government on the repair and dewatering the Hussain Sagar lake.

The bench of acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice SV Bhatt heard K Ramakrishna Reddy for the state and a senior counsel for the original petitioner. The bench pointed out that the directions of the apex court were already in operation .

The Supreme Court earlier granted conditional permission to the government and observed that the main issue be decided by the Tribunal. The bench said it would hope and trust that the Tribunal would dispose of the case within two months.
