Hyderabad: The House Committee for Cooperative Housing Societies has decided to visit the areas under the Film Nagar and Jubilee Hills Society to probe into the alleged irregularities. The decision was taken during the third meeting of the House Committee which was presided by its chairman RV Ramesh.

Speaking to media persons later, Ramesh said the committee discussed the issues pertaining to Nandi Nagar, Film Nagar, TNGOs Colony, Jubilee Hills and Venkateshwara Colony. He said the committee members would visit the Jubilee Hills Society areas to review encroachments on parks, nalas and other places.

It would also review allegations of violation of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) norms in the constructions. He said the House Committee would also enquire into the non-conduct of elections as the executive body was getting selected unanimously every time. Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said all non-members should be evicted from the Jubilee Hills Society and all illegal constructions be demolished.
