Hyderabad: The bandh called by TRS party on Friday in protest against AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s letter to Central Water Commission against Palamuru Irrigation Project went off peaceful in Mahbubnagar district. TRS leaders, activists, farmers and representatives of different NGOs participated in the protest held across the districts on Friday.

The shops and establishment, educational institutions and petrol bunks remained closed. The bus services too remained crippled as 975 buses of Achampet, Nagar Kurnool, Kalwakurthy, Shad Nagar, Kollapur, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Wanaparthy and Narayanpet depots were off the road. A dharna was staged near Mahbubnagar bus stand by the TRS activists led by TRS MLA Srinivas Goud.
