Aruna flays TRS, TDP
Former Minister and Congress MLA D K Aruna on Monday alleged that both the Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers were misleading the people by manipulating their sentiments. Speaking to the media on Assembly premises, Aruna lashed out at the TRS and TDP by saying that the two parties were enacting dramas by making allegations and counter allegations against each other over irrigation projects in Mahbubnagar district.

Hyderabad: Former Minister and Congress MLA D K Aruna on Monday alleged that both the Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers were misleading the people by manipulating their sentiments. Speaking to the media on Assembly premises, Aruna lashed out at the TRS and TDP by saying that the two parties were enacting dramas by making allegations and counter allegations against each other over irrigation projects in Mahbubnagar district.
All these four irrigation projects were sanctioned during the Congress regime, he said. She asserted that the credit of taking up these four projects in Mahabubnagar should go to Congress party. They were in final stages of completion and just Rs 1,000 crore was required to complete them.
She demanded that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao release funds for the completion of the projects and demonstrate his commitment. She warned the TRS government that people of Mahabubnagar would rise in revolt in case the government failed to complete the projects, and failed to take up the works of Palamuru Lift Irrigation Project.
Aruna also revealed that she had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court because there was no representation for women in Cabinet in many states. He prayed the apex court to issue guidelines on giving representation to women.
