Hyderabad: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh appreciated the efforts of Telangana government for its efforts in overcoming power deficit in the State. Raman Singh called on KCR at the latter's camp office in Begumpet on Friday evening. He told the TS CM that he enquired about power situation in the State from his car driver soon after landing here.

“The car driver told me that there was serious power problem in the initial period but now the State was now getting uninterrupted supply," Raman Singh said to KCR. Chhattisgarh CM evinced keen interest to know about Rao's initiatives for the coming days, especially on power front. Both of them decided to expedite laying of power distribution line between the two States.

It may be mentioned here that Raman Singh and Chandrashekar Rao signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) in last October wherein it was decided that the Chhattisgarh would be supplying 1,000 MW of power to Telangana State until it overcame power crisis.
