Hyderabad on high alert ahead Independence Day

A high alert has been declared by the Hyderabad police ahead of Independence Day celebrations. Police have tightened security at prominent places in Hyderabad in the wake of intelligence agencies receiving reports that terrorist groups are planning blasts.

While visitors' entry has been blocked at the Rajeev Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad by the Airport authorities, the CISF personnel have checks in and around the airport. People have been advised to inform of any suspicious activities in the surroundings.
