The Minister inaugurated the ‘Grama Jyothi’ programme at his native village Pocharam of Banswada mandal in Nizamabad on Wednesday. On the occasion, the Pocharam Srinivas Reddy conducted the Grama Sabha with villagers and prepared the village master plan.

The Minister said that the State government was giving high priority to sanitation in ‘Grama Jyothi’ programme and asked to prepare the village plan for the next four years in the meeting.

He suggested that each and every one in the village should put a dust bin in their house and later shift the garbage in dumping yard. Srinivas Reddy said that the government provides the trolley rickshaws, auto trolleys and tractors for gram panchayats according to their population.

Each and every village should establish grave yard and dumping yard. The Minister urged the villagers to construct lavatories in all houses and become an open defecation free village. RDO Shyam Prasad lal, village sarpanch Anjavva, MPP Reshma Azas and villagers participate in the programme.
