Cheap liquor policy kicks up a storm

The TRS government’s cheap liquor policy continues to draw flak from politicos of different hues and also from different sections of people. With each passing day, protests are being reported from different parts of the state.

The principal Opposition parties are opposing the govt’s policy tooth and nail, vehemently demanding that the government shelve the policy, which, it is feared, will adversely affect the lives of the poor.
