The Telangana State government on Friday appointed former minister Dharmapuri Srinivas, who joined TRS recently, as Special Advisor in the rank of a Cabinet minister to deal with inter-State affairs. With this appointment, TRS president has kick-started the process of filling up of nominated posts.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State government on Friday appointed former minister Dharmapuri Srinivas, who joined TRS recently, as Special Advisor in the rank of a Cabinet minister to deal with inter-State affairs. With this appointment, TRS president has kick-started the process of filling up of nominated posts.


At the recently held Legislature meeting of the party, Rao announced that he would focus on nominated posts as soon as the auspicious month ‘Shravanam’ begins. The term of office of D Srinivas will be for a year from the day he assumes charge. Srinivas will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 1 lakh.


The government has also provided him HR allowance of Rs 50,000, conveyance allowance and fuel charge of Rs 45,000 as well as health insurance on par with ministers and AIS officers. The newly-appointed advisor said that he would take up state’s cause at New Delhi besides resolving inter-State issues. Srinivas said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has assigned this onerous task keeping full faith in him.
