While attending the 'Grama Jyothi' programme in Kishan Nagar and Haji Pally villages of Faruq Nagar mandal in the district, the Governor interacted with village development committees and members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) knowing their functioning and development activities.
'Grama Jyothi' is a new programme launched by the Telangana government for a comprehensive development of the villages in the state. State's IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao was present on the occasion. KTR had last week invited the Governor to participate in the programme.
