PROTEST AGAINST ENCOUNTER
Hyderabad: Despite heavy presence of police personnel including Rapid Action Force and CRPF, near the State Assembly and Gun Park to prevent any Telangana Democratic Forum activist from sneaking in, a 28-year-old man took all by surprise by entering the Gun Park area with a kerosene bottle and attempting suicide. He was protesting against the encounter of Maoists at Tadvai village in Warangal district recently.
The man identified as Raj Kumar was noticed by the media and police managed to stop him in time from lighting the match stick. He was immediately stopped from doing so and taken into custody. Raj Kumar said "I want to sacrifice my life for encounter-less Telangana." Meanwhile, police are probing the antecedents of Raj Kumar, who said, that he was vexed with the rotten politics by the leaders in the State and decided to resort to the extreme step.
