The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has sought support of the private engineering colleges with regard to the conduct of PSC examinations this year.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has sought support of the private engineering colleges with regard to the conduct of PSC examinations this year.

In a meeting held organised by TSPSC and Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) with the private engineering college managements at Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University here on Thursday,

the Commission asked the colleges to extend their support for conducting the examinations scheduled on October 25 and November 1. The colleges will be designated as test centres for the exams.

They further asked the managements to furnish the details like how many number of candidates can be accommodated for an examination.

The Commission officials made it clear to the colleges they want to have tight security measures like biometric system, surveillance among others for conduct of exams.

The officials lauded the colleges for having the best facilities for conduct of examinations.The examination for assistant engineer posts in various departments is scheduled for October 25 and Manager (engineering) posts in HMWSSB on November 1.

The two examinations will be held in the offline mode i.e. pen and paper as very number of candidates will be appearing for the exams.

During the meeting, there were arguments between TSPSC Chairman Prof. Ganta Chakrapani and Sree Datta Institute of Engineering and Sciences promoter G Panduranga Reddy over technical glitches at Datta College during the TSPSC’s assistant executive engineer posts online examination held on September 20.

Reddy lamented his college reputation was badly damaged due to the incident. “From last several years, the college has been a centre for various examinations.

We gave the highest number of computers for online examination which was held on September 20. However, the college’s image was damaged,” he said.
