The TRS nominee for Warangal Lok Sabha by election Pasunuri Dayakar has launched the election campaign after paying homage to Telangana martyrs at Amaradhamam at Parkal in the district on Sunday. Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, Ministers K Taraka Rama Rao, C Laxma Reddy, G Jagadish Reddy, P Srinivas Reddy, Jogu Ramanna, Eatala Rajender, A Indrakaran Reddy, MPs B Vinod Kumar and A Seetaram Naik and local MLAs D Vinay Bhasker, K Surekha, Ch Dharma Reddy, B Shanker Naik and others attended the election meeting organised at different places in the constituency.

The party leaders expressed the hope that the TRS would win the seat with a thumping majority as the people still reposed faith in the party. The welfare measures being implemented by the State government would help the party win the election, they felt. Srihari accused the Opposition parties with making baseless charges against the government and the TRS party. But the people were in no mood to believe such “malicious rumours,” he asserted.

The government was providing uninterrupted power to agriculture, besides implementing several welfare measures like three acre land to Dalits, Kalyana Lakshmi, two bedroom houses to poor and others. Speaking to the media at the party office in Hanamkonda, the Deputy Chief Minister appealed the voters in the constituency to teach a lesson to the Opposition parties which were engaged in mud-slinging at the ruling party. KTR, while addressing an election meeting in Hanamkonda, said the fight was between the parties and between contestants.

The election result would reflect the people’s faith in the government. He hoped that the party would retain the seat.

While asking the party workers to ensure that the party candidate get bigger majority than in 2014 election, he warned them not to be complacent. “If the majority decreases even by a single vote it will give the Opposition parties a chance to create commotion,” KTR said.

The welfare measures implemented by the government should be taken to the people. He recalled that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao visited each and every street in Warangal and interacted with the people. Of the 6,000 two-bedroom houses planned across the state, as many as 4,000 houses were allocated toWarangal district along, he said.
