Warangal: Former Congress MP Sircilla Rajaiah, who was arrested in the case of suspicious death of his daughter-in-law and her three children, has been allotted Qaidi No. 2971 in the Warangal Central Jail.

Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi and son Anil Kumar have been allotted prisoners numbers on Friday. While Rajaiah has been allotted the No 2971, his wife Madhavi got 7856 while his son has been allotted Qaidi No. 2970. Madhavi has been lodged in the Women's Jail.

They were arrested after the suspicious death of Sarika (35) and her children, Abhinav (7) and twins Ayan and Sriyan (4), on November 4 in a fire incident. It is not yet ascertained whether the deaths were accidental, suicide or murder. After their arrest, they were produced before a magistrate who had remanded them to 14-day judicial custody.

Meanwhile, Warangal police have constituted a special team to arrest Anil Kumar's second wife Sana, who hailed from Hanamkonda of Warangal district. The team comprising a Sub-Inspector and two constables, reached Hyderabad on Friday and it has sought the cooperation of Hyderabad City Police to arrest Sana.

Forensic experts again visited the residence of Rajaiah on Friday searching for additional evidence to establish whether it was a case of suicide or murder.

ACP P Shobhan Kumar said that all the samples collected at the scene of offence and during the post-mortem were being sent to Forensic Science Laboratory in Hyderabad to decide the cause of the death. The cause of the death could be ascertained only after forensic and post-mortem reports were out. It could take at least a week for the reports to arrive here.

Meanwhile, the police have formed four teams to nab woman called Sana, A-4 accused in the case of mysterious death of former MP S Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law, Sarika and her three minor kids.

Sana was said to be living in Hyderabad and the police teams were searching for her and she was yet to be arrested, city police commissioner G Sudheer Babu informed The Hans India here on Friday.

There was no proof of Anil and Sana’s marriage and it was established that they were in live-in relationship.

Evidence against the trio under Section 498(A) (domestic violence- harassment) and under Section 306 (Abetment to commit suicide) was established.

The accused could be sentenced up to 10 years under the sections, the commissioner added.
