Jadcherla: Tummala Nageswara Rao, Minister for Roads and Buildings laid foundation stones to 8 highways worth Rs. 117 crore connecting Kothakota, Wanaparthy, Ammapally, Chinnabavi, Kollapur and Kodair Mandals in Mahabubnagar district on Thursday.

Laying foundation stone for road doubling works between Kothakota and Wanaparthy (WNP), Tummala Nageswara Rao said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is giving priority to compete all the pending projects related to roads and lift irrigation projects on war-footing.

As part of this, land acquisitions and other clearance works are being taken up, he said. The Minister said that the State government has sanctioned about Rs. 2,000 crore for the development of roads and highways.
