ASI money laundering case

Karimnagar: Coming down heavily on political parties for not responding over the ASI’s money laundering issue, Civil Liberties district general secretary M Kumaraswamy wanted the case to be probed with a High Court sitting judge. He sought the government to release a white paper on the properties of police officials worked in the district since 1993.

Police mafia, which had continued in TD and Congress governments, was also continuing in TRS government, he alleged. He said various sections of the society are expressing doubts over the leaders of all political parties for remaining silent over the sensational money lending case involving ASI B Mohan Reddy and other police officers.

‘Except Telugu Desam Party, no other political party has responded on the issue so far. The indifferent attitude of the various parties is strengthening the allegations levelled by Lok Satta Udyama Samstha that leaders of various political parties are also involved in money lending.’ In this regard, Lok Satta also wrote letters to MLAs and MPs to respond over the issue.

Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID, Ravi Varma hoped that ASI B Mohan Reddy’s money lending case would come to a conclusion within two to three days. The DIG performed special puja at Vemulawada Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple on Sunday.
