Telangana seethes with rage as Centre allots 1.93 lakh houses for AP

A huge row got triggered with the allotment of houses to the urban poor in Telangana and AP by the Centre. While 10,290 houses were allotted in Telangana, 1.93 lakh were for AP. Alleging that the Centre was discriminating the state, the Telangana government vowed to bring the issue in the forthcoming session of Parliament.
TRS MP Balka Suman said that the Union Urban Development Ministry headed by M. Venkaiah Naidu showed that Telangana was being discriminated with the allocations.
Mr Suman stated that they have no objection if more houses are allotted to AP but the Centre should give Telangana the same priority. He questioned the discrimination as the states were allotted 2,17,748 houses from which AP got 1.93 lakh houses implying 75 percent showing in favour of AP.
