Warangal: Congress nominee for Warangal by-poll Sarve Satyanarayana strongly condemned the news reports appeared in a Telugu daily that described him as a land grabber. He warned that he would file a defamation case against the newspaper that carried the news item after the by-election.

‘Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who controls the newspaper, is spreading misinformation against me,’ he alleged. ‘I am Mr. clean and I am ready to face any probe,’ he said while challenging the CM to order an inquiry to prove the allegations.

Speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Thursday, he said it was the CM who was threatening the villagers around his farm house to sell their lands. Satyanarayana demanded the CM to tell public why he was grilled by the CBI, adding that the CBI questioned KCR for his misdeeds as union labour minister and amassed wealth misusing his office.

He found fault with CM Chandrashekar Rao for targeting the leaders from Reddy community. The leaders like S Jaipal Reddy and K Jana Reddy made great efforts achieving separate Telangana.

AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Congress leaders made great sacrifices. Though all the MPs quit the party I stayed back to raise the issue of separate Telangana and counter the leaders from Andhra, he explained.

The Congress leader stated that there was unrest among the TRS ministers and MLAs as the CM was not taking them into confidence. They were ready revolt at the immediate available opportunity. Victory of Congress in Warangal by-poll would provide such opportunity to the TRS leaders.

He wanted the voters to vote for Congress and elect him with huge majority. ‘If I win the election I will dedicate my life for Warangal and the development of people here,’ he asserted.
