Hyderabad: TRS leader and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha on Friday accused Prime Minister Narender Modi of doing injustice to Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons, Kavitha said the Prime Minister's discriminatory attitude would damage country's federal structure. She said while the Centre released financial assistance of Rs. 8,000 crore to neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, it has failed to allot funds to Telangana.

Similarly, the Centre had sanctioned only 10,000 houses for Telangana, it granted 1.94 lakh for Andhra Pradesh. The TRS MPs would raise the issue in the next session of Parliament, she said.

Earlier, she, along with Nizamabad Urban MLA Ganesh Gupta and Jagtial Assembly constituency TRS in-charge Sanjay Kumar, called on Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at the State Secretariat.

Later she said the Chief Minister had agreed to increase the 2BHK units by 1,100 for Nizamabad Urban Assembly constituency. The Chief Minister had also promised to releae funds for underground drainage system, she said.
