TRS promoting defections: CPM
CPM district secretary Pothineni Sudarshan Rao alleged that the TRS party was purchasing the peoples’ representatives, killing the moral values of politics and democracy in the country.
Khammam: CPM district secretary Pothineni Sudarshan Rao alleged that the TRS party was purchasing the peoples’ representatives, killing the moral values of politics and democracy in the country. A district-level meeting was held under the leadership of Bonakal mandal ZPTC Banothu Konda with ZPTCs, MPPs, MPTCs and Municipal Councillors here at Sundaraiah Bhavan here on Friday.
Addressing the people’s representatives at the meeting, Sudarshan Rao alleged that the ruling party was luring the people’s representatives to join their party. It was a shame on the part of TRS leaders promising to respect the Constitution while at the same time they were breaking all the rules. The people’s representatives, who respect democracy, must reject the illegal money offered by the TRS party.
The CPM leader urged all the people’s representatives who attended the meeting to vote for the candidate of Left parties, Puvvada Nageshwar Rao in the coming local body elections and save democracy along with protecting the morals values in the politics. CPM state committee member N Nageshwar Rao criticised the TRS party that it had treated the people’s representatives of local bodies as festive idols.
The TRS party betrayed MPTCs by not allotting funds to Mandal Parishads for developing villages and not allowing them to participate in Grama Jyothi programmes. It did not pay the honorarium to the peoples’ representatives since 15 months. Now the time has come to teach a good fitting lesson to the TRS through MLC elections by defeating it, he added.
