Around 1,500 women employees from all over the country, in addition to hundreds of delegates from 10 districts of Telangana would be attending the convention being organised by TNGOs’ Central Union. To invite the women employees of Medak district, TNGO leaders were in Sangareddy on Tuesday.

Speaking to media persons, TNGOs honorary president G Devi Prasad Rao said though there were around 6 million State government employees in 29 States of India, only 15-16 per cent of them were women. He said there was an immediate need to implement 33 per cent reservation for women in employment and in legislature. He said issues concerning two years child-care leave, regularisation of all contract and outsourcing women employees.
