Burglars strike at two houses in SR Nagar

Hyderabad: Burglars have struck at two neighbouring houses in SR Nagar police station limits on Sunday and decamped with over half kg gold and three kgs of silver ornaments. The incidents have taken place in Santhi Nilayam apartments located in Jaya Prakash Nagar in Yellareddyguda, in the houses of Satyanarayana Babu, employee of Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation Limited and Anil Kumar, a techie.

According to the police, on Sunday Satyanarayana and his wife Kalpana went to Ameerpet to meet a friend of the former, who had come from Chennai. When they returned home at about 3.30 pm, they found that the locks were broken and the almirah was empty.

Anil Kumar stated that he along with his wife went out on Saturday night. When they returned home on Sunday, they found the burglars have intruded into their house and fled with gold ornaments from their home. Based on the complaints, the police registered a case and began investigation..
