Encroachment of tank land alleged

Balkonda (Nizamabad): Fishermen of Elkaturu village in Balkonda mandal, in a complaint to the Tahsildar here on Friday that the farmers of their village have encroached on 15 acres out of their 23 acres of land on the lakebed of Yellammakunta, the water tank in the village.

Submitting a petition to Tahsildar Pandarinath, the fishermen appealed to the Revenue department officials to take stern action against the encroachment and retrieve the land.
