Nizamabad: Members belonging to the minority community staged a dharna at Nehru Park in the town on Wednesday demanding the government to take action against the rapist Bobbili Naresh and raised slogans against him.
They said that Bobbili Naresh of Bodepally village raped the minor girl on 31 December, and the girl made a suicide attempt by pouring kerosene on herself and set herself ablaze.
She died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The leaders of the minority community demanded stringent against the rapist and sanction ex-gratia to the girl’s family.
