With the students from Hyderabad Central University sitting on a hunger strike getting hospitalised on Saturday, a fresh batch of seven students resumed the strike today demanding the removal of Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao and compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the deceased Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula\'s family.

With the students from Hyderabad Central University sitting on a hunger strike getting hospitalised on Saturday, a fresh batch of seven students resumed the strike today demanding the removal of Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao and compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the deceased Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula's family.

Seven students were admitted to a hospital after their health condition deteriorated on Saturday following the fast. The students resuming the strike stated that the protest would continue until their demands are met.

They demanded the arrest of Union ministers Bandaru Dattatreya, Smriti Irani and Vice Chancellor along with the others who were named in connection with the case.
