Students all over the country gear up for Chalo HCU
As thousands of students arriving in Hyderabad from all over the country to participate in the Chalo HCU programme on Monday, the call given by Joint Action Committee of the varsity students is expected to bring in a massive response. Many noted political leaders and writers are expected to take part in the programme.

Demanding the suspension of Hyderabad Central University Vice Chancellor Appa Rao who has been allegedly held responsible for the Dalit Scholar Rohit Vemula's suicide, the JAC even demanded action against Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya for his involvement in the suspension of the five Dalit students.
The student JAC made it clear that they won't be accepting the acting Vice Chancellor VPN Srivastava and also demanded compensation of Rs 50 lakh rupees to the deceased Rohit Vemula's family. They even warned that the agitation would continue until the demands are met.
