Hastinapur division voters boycott GHMC polls

As the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections are taking place in various divisions throughout the city of Hyderabad, voters from Hastinapur division have boycotted the polls.

Nearly 15,000 voters from Hastinapur division under Malkajgiri limits have boycotted voting and staged a protest in front of the polling station. Protesting the negligence of officials and political leaders towards their division, the voters stated that even though they have been residing in the area for the past 30 years, they still don't have pattas for houses nor do they have availibility of drinking water. The voters further said that they are tired of being treated as vote banks and later forgotten which is the reason they have decided to boycott the elections.
