He made a surprise visit and inspected the works pertaining to the employment guarantee scheme in Bhairapur, Sambapur and Birkur villages in the Birkur mandal f the district on Wednesday. Hanuk said that 13 water conservation pits (Inkudu guntalu) should be dug up in each village to tide over the water crisis as ground water resources were getting depleted.
