Karimnagar: Dalit advocates, who were suspended for one year by Karimnagar Bar Association, have decided to launch relay hunger strike from Monday if the suspension against them was not revoked. In a statement here on Saturday, the advocates questioned that how can the Bar Association impose suspension without asking explanation from them. They also questioned that in what capacity Appala Prasad, state secretary of Samajika Samarasatta association, sat on the dais.

It may be recalled that the Bar Association had suspended four dalit advocates for interrupting Chief Justice of Patna High Court L Narsimha Reddy’s lecture on ‘Dr BR Ambedkar Clamour National Integration’ held at the district court on February 11. Budida Mallesh, Kattekola Laxman, Janagama Narsingh and Nisani Ramacharam were suspended from the Bar Association.
