Mass upanayanams on March 18
The Induru Brahmana Seva Sangham would be conducting free mass upanayanams (Investiture with the Sacred Thread) to Brahmins on March 18, said Bhoopathi Rao, President of the Sangham here today.
Nizamabad: The Induru Brahmana Seva Sangham would be conducting free mass upanayanams (Investiture with the Sacred Thread) to Brahmins on March 18, said Bhoopathi Rao, President of the Sangham here today.
Addressing the general body meeting of the Induru Brahmana Seva Sangam at the Gayathri Kalayana mandapam,in the town on Sunday Bhoopathi Rao said that after the formation of their body, they conducted 36 types of programs and they would undertake the upanayanam programme on March 18.
He said those who were interesting in the Upanayanam programme should contact and register their names with him on his mobile 98662 04575) and with Maruthi Sharma on the number 93964 11153. He said that the Brahmana Sangham had requested the State government to extend ‘Kalayana Lakshmi’ scheme to poor Brahmins, identify land for constructing Brahmin s crematorium and provide reservations in jobs and education for the poor brahmins.
The Brahmana Sangham honorary president Chandrasekhar Rao, general secretary Yugandhar, general body members and association members were present at the meeting.
